OVERVIEW 

Assists account leadership in the day-to-day management of assigned accounts, while developing account service skills. Works to ensure that projects proceed according to plan and timelines, alerting account leadership of potential problems/issues before they occur. Ensures that all relevant client materials and information are properly archived in the agency systems.  

RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS 

  • Handles day-to-day internal agency activities for assigned clients.
  • Supports account leadership in managing overall client relationship.
  • Stays aware of client activities to provide backup with account executives are not available. 
  • Prepares meeting agendas, conference/ action reports, proposals and other internal and client communications and correspondence.
  • Processes job/work requests.
  • Works with account leadership, project management and functional teams to develop project estimates and timelines.
  • Tracks project work/deliverables against budgets and timelines.
  • Ensures that internal communications and process procedures are followed.
  • Reviews all client work deliverables and ensures that work is approved and meets client standards before being reviewed by clients or turned over to suppliers. 
  • Gathers and assembles client and industry background information as needed by the account team.
  • Is knowledgeable and stays current with assigned clients’ brands/products/services.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

  • B.S. in agriculture and/or food business, marketing, journalism, communications and or related field
  • 2 – 5 years of experience working in a marketing communications / public relations / internal communications capacity
  • Background / experience in agriculture and/or food preferred
